Gather the Supplies
A successful car cleaning starts with having the right materials. Gather supplies such as a vacuum cleaner, microfiber cloths, window cleaner, interior cleaner, and detailing brushes. Having the right materials will make the job easier and more efficient.
Vacuum the Car
Using a vacuum cleaner, start by removing all dirt and debris from the interior of the car. Be sure to suck up dirt from the edges and the crevices of the doors, seats, and the dashboard. Vacuum the carpets, floor mats, and the trunk.
Clean the Dashboard and Console
Using a microfiber cloth, clean the dashboard and console areas. If necessary, use a damp cloth and a little bit of interior cleaner to remove any tougher stains. Make sure to wipe away all dust and dirt, and don’t forget to clean the air vents.
Clean the Seats & Carpet
Using an interior cleaner and a detailing brush, clean the upholstery of the car seats. If the fabric of the seats is especially delicate, use a mild cleaner. For carpets, use a vacuum cleaner and a brush to remove dirt and debris. If necessary, use a carpet shampooer for deep cleaning.
Clean the Windows & Mirrors
Using a microfiber cloth and a window cleaner, clean the windows and mirrors. Make sure to remove all dirt and dust, and use a glass cleaner to get rid of any streaks. Don’t forget to clean the door frames and the door handles.
Apply Protectant
Finally, apply a protectant to the interior of the car. This will help prevent fading and cracking, and will make the interior of the car look like new. Make sure to read the instructions carefully before applying the protectant.
